Cinco De Mayo celebration

Students ready to celebrate on Cinco De Mayo can join the celebration in Bldg. 2.
CAMP, the Multicultural Student Program, and the Juntos Club are hosting two events on Friday, May.4.
One is an Ethnic-Cultural Studies Celebration at 1 to 2 p.m.
From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Juntos Club also will host a dinner and the Mr. and Miss Juntos pageant.
The events will feature performers from Rondalla Alm Latina, Juntos Ballet Folklorico, Tlanese Ballet Folklorico, and Johanna Bogarin.
According to Mexonline.org, Cinco De Mayo celebrates the Mexican victory over the French in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla. The Mexican army of 4,500 soundly defeated a invading French force of 6,500.
