Submit all entries to the Bldg. 2 Counseling Center on the Salem campus or electronically to sschafe1@chemeketa.edu (if submitted electronically, put “ePathways contest” in the subject line).

Chemeketa Theater presents “Two Rooms”

Posted in Around campus, Art, Events at 8:00 am by Eric

tworoomsposter.jpgSomewhere in the Middle East an American professor is held hostage, blindfolded and alone in a cell. His wife Lainie waits for him at home in a surreally empty room while her life comes apart at the seams. Pressured by visits from an evasive government representative and a headline-hungry journalist, Lainie becomes increasingly afraid of losing her husband forever. Who can she trust? How can she help him?

Written in the late ’80s, Two Rooms by Lee Blessing searing portrait of solitude and devotion rings eerily true to today’s news. A revealing study of the personal side of terrorism, the play is also a love story between two people whose lives are interrupted by a world falling apart.

Show dates are:

May 30th and 31st, June 5th, 6th, 7that 7:30pm; with a preview on May 29th at 7:30pm. June 6th will be sign interpreted.

Tickets are $10. Students and Seniors: $8.

For ticket information or reservations, call the Box Office 503.399.6980 Mon-Fri, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
