Winter Music Concert March 14Enjoy all the musical offerings Chemeketa Community College has to offer.

The Winter Music Concert will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, March 14 in the Building 6 auditorium at the Salem campus.

Chemeketa’s band, chorus and orchestra will all be performing during the concert for approximately a half-hour each. A grand finale will combine all three groups.

A $5.00 donation is requested at the front door.

The performance will be as follows–

Chemeketa Orchestra (Steven Nelson, director)

  • Romanian Folk Dances (mvts. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 7), Béla Bartók
  • Clair de Lune, Claude Debussy
  • Entrance of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon, G.F. Handel
  • “Jesu bleibet meine Freude” from Cantata No. 147, J.S. Bach
  • Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor, BMV 1043, J.S. Bach


  • Elämän Meressä, Thomas Leinonen (student composer)

Chemeketa Choir (Dr. Kerry Burtis, director)
