Chemeketa reduces tuition for 2017-18

By Chemeketa Public Affairs

Chemeketa reduces tuitionChemeketa is rolling back its in-state 2017-18 tuition from $85 to $84 per credit.

The Chemeketa Board of Education approved in February a tiered approach to tuition costs. If State Legislature funding remained the same, tuition would increase by $5 per credit. If funding increased, tuition would increase $4 per credit.

The college budget approved in June was based on an assumed $550 million allocation. The actual allocation of $570 million the Legislature approved in July triggered the $1 per credit decrease.

Summer term students who were charged $85 will receive a credit or refund for any overpayment.

The $84 tuition charge combined with a $15 fee brings the per credit unit cost to a total of $99 for the 2017-18 school year.
