Chemeketa's computer science program is designed to closely follow the first two years in computer science at most Oregon public and private universities. You can earn the Associate of Science Transfer Degree in Computer Science (AST-CS) and be ready to start your Junior year of a Computer Science degree.

What will you learn?

Computer Science is the study of solving problems with algorithms—it is the standard background for those who wish to become software developers or research new computation-based technologies. The computer science program at Chemeketa is designed to provide a foundation in computer programming as well as a foundation in the science of computation that prepares students for Junior level work at a four-year university.

Students typically take  –

  • CS160, CS161, CS162, CS260
  • Math231, 232, 251, 252
  • General education courses that will be required for their four-year degree
