Associate of Applied Science - Computer Systems and Information Technology (CSIT)
The Computer Systems and Information Technology degree prepares students for a wide variety of technical career opportunities. The degree prepares the student for work in the design and implementation of business systems solutions, software and systems troubleshooting, technical support and end user training. Manage workgroup resources including file shares, print shares, and physical connections. Install, configure and support industry required applications to the enterprise environment. Use integrated software packages to analyze and support business problems related to the IT infrastructure. Careers in enterprise and workgroup systems administration, software and systems troubleshooting, IT technical support, corporate information systems and private computer security consulting. This degree provides a pathway to the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, LINUX+, and other industry certifications.
Associate of Applied Science - Cybersecurity
This degree focuses on cybersecurity and safety, computer forensics, ethical hacking, and routing and switching of networks. To develop the foundational skills in computing, you will take courses in digital literacy, programming, web design, operating systems, hardware, and networks. In your second year you will learn about server management, database management, data security, computer forensics, ethical hacking, routing and switching of networks, network systems management, security+, and computer architecture. You will also have the opportunity to complete cooperative work experience to gain experience that may help lead to a career path.
