Chemeketa Community College offers two Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees within its Computer Information Systems program: Cybersecurity and Computer Systems and Information Technology (CSIT).

The CSIT degree provides a comprehensive foundation in general technology, equipping students with versatile skills applicable across various domains in the industry. The Cybersecurity degree delivers specialized training in cybersecurity, preparing students to address the complexities of securing modern information systems.

These degree programs are designed to prepare graduates for a wide range of employment opportunities in the computer information systems field. For professionals already working in the industry, Chemeketa also offers an extensive selection of professional continuing education classes and certifications. Additionally, the program includes technology service courses tailored to support students pursuing other disciplines.

  • Associate of Applied Science - Cybersecurity

    This degree focuses on cybersecurity and safety, computer forensics, ethical hacking, and routing and switching of networks. To develop the foundational skills in computing, you will take courses in digital literacy, programming, web design, operating systems, hardware, and networks. In your second year you will learn about server management, database management, data security, computer forensics, ethical hacking, routing and switching of networks, network systems management, security+, and computer architecture. You will also have the opportunity to complete cooperative work experience to gain experience that may help lead to a career path.
