Mandatory Employee Training
Several employee training opportunities exist throughout the year—three are mandatory for all employees.
Yearly Mandatory Training
Federal law requires all Chemeketa employees to complete four trainings annually to follow best practices in higher education. Chemeketa uses the e-learning system Percipio for accessing and completing these trainings. It will take most employees 30-40 minutes to work through each course. You no longer need to register for CRNs for the mandatory trainings.
Access & Completion
- Access Percipio through single sign-on

About the Courses
Title IX for Higher Education
In this course, employees will learn to recognize examples of sexual discrimination in higher educational settings, how to respond effectively to complaints of sexual discrimination and how to best intervene as a bystander. (Chemeketa Policy & Procedures for Title IX)
Campus Security Obligations Under Federal Law
In this course, employees will become familiar with their role in helping Chemeketa meet the campus security obligation under the Jeanne Cleary Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Violence Against Women Act. The course will be used with ongoing crime prevention and awareness campaigns.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA)
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student records. In this course, employees will learn to recognize the types of information in educational records that cannot be disclosed without a student’s consent, follow best practices for protecting educational records and types of activities that put the confidentiality of educational records at risk. For more information, please view What is the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act? link.
Security Awareness for End Users
This course will explore why campus networks are targeted by hackers and the potential consequences a breach can have for end users and institutions. Best practices for protecting personal, web-enabled devices and safe online behaviors will build awareness of how to stay safe and secure online, which in turn will promote campus network security.
